Patterhn Ives is pleased to announce that Micah Macaulay has been promoted to Associate.
Micah has been a key team member since 2019 and has contributed to significant projects from conceptual design through construction completion. A few notable projects include the John Goodman Amphitheater at Missouri State University, the College of Optometry at the University of Missouri – St. Louis, and the relocation of the Departments of Music and Art & Design also at UMSL. In addition, he’s contributed as a design leader on the redevelopment of Love Bank Park in St. Louis’ Cherokee Street neighborhood.

Micah advocates for a high level of engagement in solving complex design problems. He brings a highly collaborative spirit to projects while maintaining a rigorous and thoughtful design process. He believes that a focused design practice must be increasingly accessible, critical, interdisciplinary, and optimistic. This approach aligns with the foundational tenets of Patterhn Ives.
Micah graduated with honors from the Graduate School of Architecture and Urban Design at Washington University in St. Louis, where he received Masters Degrees in Architecture and Landscape Architecture.
